My hubby took me to the grocery store last night. It was the first time I have been out of my house since Christmas. I was surprised how many people still had Christmas lights on their houses. I put all my decorations away yesterday and now my house is really empty. And I like it! Christmas is over!
As soon as decorations hit the store, I start getting excited about Christmas. I think it was early October this year. I think I squealed when I saw the first Christmas tree. I love everything about Christmas - tv specials, decorations, music, family time, cookies, gifts, cards, all of it! However, by about mid-December, I have had my fill. I am done with the shows and the music. So, the second the gifts are unwrapped, I am done with the holiday. The tree and decorations need to go.
Now my house feels empty. And it will stay empty until the beginning of September when I put my Halloween decorations out. That's how I roll. :)
